Groveport Volunteer Opportunities
Ample
opportunities for volunteering are available throughout the year
in the Village of Groveport. On-going programs and special
events to suit your talents and interests are available with
hours to accommodate most schedules. For additional information or to sign on as a volunteer, please
contact Chelle Coleman, Volunteer Coordinator, at 836-3333.
The Village's annual
Volunteer Recognition is held in April to honor all volunteers
who contributed 10 hours or more for the period April 1 - March
31.
At Groveport
Town Hall
Volunteers
are frequently needed at Town Hall for a variety of duties. You
may enjoy getting ready for
a
concert, working with a children’s art class, decorating for the
holidays, or helping to prepare
invitations to an art gallery opening. If
you are interested in being placed on
our “on call” volunteer list, we will gladly contact you when a
need arises that matches your interests and abilities. Please
contact Chelle Coleman, Volunteer Coordinator, at 836-3333 to
register as a volunteer.

Perhaps you would enjoy assisting one of our clients on a group

Junior Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
Can you swim? Are you between the ages of 11 and 14 years of
age? Do you enjoy the water and working with people? The Junior
Lifeguard or Junior Water Safety Instructor Program is a great
way for you to get involved in the community and gain valuable
experience needed for your first job. "Our goal is to develop a
future employee pool of skilled and capable lifeguards and water
safety instructors to work at our facilities." There is no fee
associated with this program… just a great experience.
Applications are available at the
Groveport Municipal Building. For further information, please
call JoEllen Zelachowski (Aquatics Manager) at (614) 836-1000.
